A Fan-Operated Science Fiction and Fantasy Literary and Filk Convention in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area

FenCon Masquerade Info

Masquerade Forms and Facts

FenCon proudly includes a masquerade in the Saturday night FenCon festivities. If you have a costume to share, consider entering it for competition (rules and registration forms are available on this page). If you're not quite ready for the spotlight, feel free to wear your costume through the halls of FenCon.

Masquerade Rules

Masquerade muster will be in the Red Oak ballroom. Check in at 7:00 PM and get your official photos taken. If your registration forms need any final fields filled in, they must be complete and in the hands of the Masquerade director no later than 7:30 PM. Muster is also where workmanship judging takes place.

Since the programming rooms have been shifted around this year, masquerade will be presented on a larger stage (12’x32'). Other specifics, such as draperies, location or number of steps, etc. are not yet known. If you will have mobility issues getting onto or off the stage, please contact the Masquerade Director at Masquerade@FenCon.org.

Ivy Hat Contest

FenCon Costuming invites you to release your inner Ivy Hisselpeny. Create your own hat inspired by Alexia's best friend and her 'inventive' view on hats. Then bring it with you to FenCon and have it judged by Gail Carriger as part of the FenCon Cabaret. Sign up on-site at the Costumers Anonymous of North Texas fan table.
