FenCon 2009 Writers Workshop

FenCon and the Dallas Future Society are happy to announce that our fifth annual Writers Workshop will be hosted by author Keith R.A. DeCandido! We're thrilled to welcome Keith as our Special Guest and instructor for our writers workshop. This will be a new format for 2009.

Keith will be conducting an in-depth discussion of all the aspects of writing unrelated to the actual crafting of a story.

Keith says, "Many writers go out into the big bad world without the first clue how to actually pursue a writing CAREER. There is so much more to a writing career - I have found that when I've done such workshops, it's been very well-received."

Keith has conducted similar workshops at other conventions like Polaris and Shore Leave and at writers conferences.

If this sounds like the opportunity you've been waiting for, we are happy to be of service. However, there are a few things you should know:

• All participants must be paid attending members of FenCon VI. Either a full regular or Friend of the Fen membership meets this requirement.
• There is a reduced-for-2009 $25 fee for participating in the workshop in addition to the membership price.
• If you apply by postal mail, you must immediately send us an e-mail immediately to reserve your slot for up to 10 days.

Writers Workshop Online Options

This first option is only for people who have already purchased their 2009 FenCon memberships. You must be a paid attending member of FenCon VI to attend the workshop. Online membership sales ended on September 1 so, if you don't already have one, your FenCon VI membership must be purchased at the door.
