A Fan-Operated Science Fiction and Fantasy Literary and Filk Convention in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area
|
FenCon launched in 2004 with a simple mission statement: "Keep
it simple, get it right, then find out what people want us to add." You have
spoken in overwhelming numbers so this year FenCon will host an Art Show and
Art Auction. We welcome artists from across the great southwest or around
the world to join us this year either in person or by mail-in.
Space in the FenCon Art Show is available on a first-come,
first-served basis. We have both 4'x4' panels and 6'x15" tables available in
full and half sizes. (UPDATE: All of our panels have sold out!) We also
have Print Shop space available. We welcome original paintings, prints, sculptures,
jewelry and other forms of artwork.
Our few remaining table spaces are running out quickly
so please contact us right away if you are interested in participating this year.

also got art from Fan Guest of Honor Randy Farran and attending artist guests David A. Cherry,
Joy Marie Ledet, Cat Conrad, and David Lee Anderson.
We also have commitments for artwork from Amy "Kay" Purcell, Moifa, Betsy Mott,
Dylan Edwards, G. Scott Heckenlively, Nicole Pellegrini, Joy Lanterman, Alain Viesca, Xonrad,
Teresa Mather, Christi Hayden, Sarah Clemens, Daniel Cortopassi, Therri Moore, Christopher Ledford,
Beth Willinger, Joleen Flasher, MaryAnne Campbel, and many more top fannish artists.
We thank them all for helping to make FenCon's inaugural art show a success.

And what about the Art Auction?
We'll start with a silent auction in the Art Show all day Friday and well
into Saturday. Items with two or more bids will move to the live auction on Saturday evening.
We'll start at 7pm with Art Auction items interspersed with Charity Auction items.
Our goal is to wrap up the entire auction in less than two hours while still making lots of
money for our artists and raising lots of money for disaster relief. David Anderson and Cat
Conrad are tagged as auctioneers.
|
Doing our part: The proceeds of the FenCon Charity
Auction and any other fundraising we do during FenCon II will go to the Salvation Army
to aid their relief efforts in the hurricane-devastated Gulf Coast region. To give
now, see the links at the bottom of our home page. Thank you.
